This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 5 am–1 am. I had an amazing dinner at The Great Indian Cafe while traveling from Los Angeles to San Francisco. We stopped at Highway I-5, Exit 244 (Pilot), and honestly, it was the best decision of our road trip. We ordered Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan, and Dal Makhani, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The Butter Chicken was rich and flavorful, the Garlic Naan was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the Dal Makhani tasted just like authentic homemade Indian food. After trying Indian food at many places across the USA, this is by far the closest to the real Indian taste I’ve had. If you’re driving on I-5 and craving authentic Indian food, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended for anyone traveling between LA and San Francisco. Great food, authentic flavors, and definitely a 5-star experience!

Loved the wraps and my kids loved the butter chicken. Great spot to order before you stop at the Telsa charger and then after charge pick up the food. Tasty and fresh!

An absolute gem in Bakersfield! I am an Indian living in Italy, visiting here for a week. I have tried several restaurants during my trip, but this food truck was by far the best! Having grown up with authentic Indian food and now living in Europe, I have high standards for quality, and this place blew me away. It was an incredible surprise. We tried several items and everything was outstanding. The samosas were perfectly crispy and flavorful. The dal makhani and dal tadka tasted just like homeβ€”rich, comforting, and cooked to perfection. The shahi paneer was incredibly creamy, and the paneer wrap is a must-try for a delicious, quick bite. Everything paired beautifully with their fresh, soft butter naan. To top it all off, the tandoori dishes had that perfect, authentic smoky flavor. It is a real, authentic Indian culinary experience right in the middle of California. The staff is also super friendly, welcoming, and proud of their food. Five stars well deserved! I will definitely be back.

Amazing Indian food truck. We tried Amritsari Kulche and Kadhi Chawal. Service was quick and food was hygienic. Plenty space to sit and enjoy your piping hot food. A hidden gem on I5.
